Product Overview

Unique beautiful bird with white plumage with a distinct black lacey collar around the neck line. Very popular because they are prolific layers laying in excess of 200 eggs a year and are cold hardy laying well in the winter months. Occasionally go broody. Do you know what kind of eggs they lay? Chicken eggs of course! Eggs are brown in color. Large in size. A very energetic bird. Calm docile temperament with a good attitude and friendly personality. Because of it’s good egg production, friendly attitude, and dual purpose is a good choice to raise. They do well in confinement and also as a free range bird. Originated in the US.

This bird is recognized by the APA. Hens weigh about 6.5 pounds and roosters 8.5. Yet another fine type of chickens for sale at Valley Hatchery.
