Blue Slate Turkeys are primarily used for exhibition and meat/egg production. They are an active bird that lay very few large to extra-large off-white eggs per year. Toms generally weigh 23lbs and hens 14lbs. The breed originated in North America and are APA recognized. Blue Slate Turkeys can tend to go broody.
