Description

Explore the Cinnamon Queen chickens at Valley Hatchery, distinguished by their early egg-laying abilities. These unique hybrids start producing large to extra-large brown eggs quicker than most heritage breeds. We offer first-generation chicks that are color sexable right at birth, with cockerel chicks appearing white and pullet chicks showing a distinct brownish-red hue. These chicks grow into adults with varied feathering; the hens are known for their beautiful cinnamon-colored feathers, and the roosters develop from pure white to a mix of light to dark red in their shoulder feathers. The Cinnamon Queen is a vibrant and sociable breed, ideal for backyard chicken enthusiasts seeking high egg production. Each hen lays an impressive 250 to 320 large light-brown eggs annually, sometimes achieving a rate of one egg per day. The males and females reach average weights of about 8.5 pounds and 6.5 pounds, respectively. It’s important to note that this breed is not recognized by the APA and has a shorter average lifespan of around 3 years, due to their high productivity. A diet rich in calcium and other nutrients is essential for their well-being. Owing to their striking appearance and exceptional laying capabilities, Cinnamon Queen chickens are highly sought after and tend to sell out quickly. Early orders are recommended to ensure you can add these outstanding birds to your collection. At Valley Hatchery, our focus is on providing only the healthiest and happiest chickens, guaranteeing top quality for our customers.
