Lavender Guineas are primarily used for exhibition and meat/egg production. They are an active bird that lay 60-100 small dark spotted eggs per year. Cocks generally weigh 4.5lbs and hens 3.5lbs. The breed originated in Western Africa and are APA recognized. Lavender Guineas can tend to go broody.
