How Our Nationwide Shipping Works

We use proven shipping routines designed around live birds and real hatchery data, not guesswork.

  • Timed to your chosen ship date. You select your preferred ship date at checkout so you can plan your brooder and schedule.
  • Packed for live arrival. Chicks are packed in ventilated, insulated boxes with appropriate packing material and numbers for warmth in transit.
  • Shipped via USPS live-ship methods. Orders move through USPS, and your local post office will call when your box is ready for pickup.
  • Transit windows based on history. We set expectations by state using real delivery patterns, weather, and distance from our hatchery.
  • Support if something goes wrong. If there is a delay, loss, or concern, our team is here to help you work through next steps.

Find Your State for Local Shipping Details

Each state page explains typical transit time, seasonal notes, and tips for receiving chicks in your area.

Northeast

From lake-effect snow to coastal storms, Northeast weather swings fast. These state pages outline when to book ship dates, how cold snaps affect timing, and what to watch for at your local post office.

Midwest

The Midwest brings long winters, quick springs, and big temperature swings. These pages cover ideal ship dates, how we plan around late cold, and what to expect in rural versus metro areas.

South

Southern customers deal more with heat than cold. These state pages explain how we plan around high temperatures, suggest better ship dates for hot zones, and offer tips for pickup and brooder setup in warmer climates.

Mountain West

Higher elevations and long-distance routes can affect transit time. These pages walk through when to schedule ship dates, how altitude and weather factor in, and what to watch for with more complex routes.

Pacific

From coastal humidity to inland heat, the Pacific states cover a wide range of conditions. These pages explain how we plan shipments into your area and the best timing to avoid weather extremes.

Plan Ahead for the Best Ship Dates

Popular ship dates and breeds sell out early, especially for spring. After reviewing your state’s shipping details, place your order early so you can lock in the timing that fits your weather, schedule, and brooder setup.
