Description
Valley Hatchery’s Jumbo White Pekin Ducklings are a standout breed, renowned for being the largest meat duck available and similar to the White Pekin. They are characterized by their rapid growth, making them excellent for meat production, with males reaching about 11 pounds and females approximately 9.5 pounds in just three months. These ducks, known for their friendly and calm temperament, make good pets and are hardy in various climates. While not ideal for show, they are prolific layers, producing 140-175 extra-large white eggs annually. Originating from China, these heavy-class birds reach processing maturity around 18 weeks and full maturity by 20-24 weeks. Despite their fair foraging ability and lack of flying capacity, their appeal lies in their dual-purpose utility and charming yellow ducklings that grow into pure white adults.
