The Cinnamon Queen is a very active, hybrid breed that is specifically bred to lay eggs daily. The hens come in a stunning “cinnamon brown” coloration while the roosters will be off-white to golden when they reach maturity. This is a great breed if you are looking for a friendly backyard chicken that can lay a lot of eggs with great frequency. Each hen will lay an average of 250 to 320 large light-brown eggs each year, some of them reaching 1 egg per day. The males will reach a max weight of about 8.5 pounds and the females will reach around 6.5 pounds on average. Cinnamon Queens are not an APA-recognized breed. Due to their productivity, Cinnamon Queens have a lifespan averaging 3 years, and require diets higher in calcium and other nutrients to keep healthy.
